★ Admin has mint() with unlimited max
Babylon Protocol's assessment for RD-F-042 — scored yellow on the v1.7.0 rubric. The evidence below is the curator's reasoning for this score.
Evidence summary #
BABY inflation controlled by Cosmos SDK x/mint module; rate is 5.5% annually (reduced from 8% via Proposal #18, passed November 2025). Inflation parameter is governance-adjustable — a malicious governance majority could pass a proposal to increase it. No immutable hard-coded supply cap exists. However, changing inflation requires passing a governance vote (33.4% quorum + 50% threshold, 3-day window) — instant minting by an admin key is not possible. Governance-mediated inflation risk, not admin-key mint risk.
