Pause activations (trailing 12 months)
Veda (BoringVault)'s assessment for RD-F-086 — scored yellow on the v1.7.0 rubric. The evidence below is the curator's reasoning for this score.
Evidence summary #
One deliberate pause activation observed within trailing 12 months: ether.fi (vault operator) paused Teller contracts for Liquid (ETH, BTC, USD), sETHFI, and eBTC products on approximately April 19, 2026, as a precautionary response to the Kelp DAO LayerZero exploit ($292M). Veda's BoringVault architecture includes a built-in pause mechanism (Accountant pause state blocks deposits, withdrawals, and rate updates). The pause was executed by ether.fi's own RolesAuthority admin — this is a consumer-operator action, not a Veda Labs-operated pause. No Veda Labs-operated vault pauses found. The mechanism worked as designed (no exploit of Veda contracts). Yellow: 1 pause activation in trailing 12 months within a major BoringVault deployment.
